5. Boot cut jeans with platforms. Remember her cut off jeans with wedged heel in the ‘Heart Breaker” a few years back? Yeah, so must she, considering she still picks out this combo every freakin’ morning.
4. Midriff with EVERYTHING. Hey, I’m not against a little midriff – Think Gwen Stefani in her Cool music video, paring a full, high-waisted circle skirt video with a bra-like top. But when it comes to displaying your abs like a slab of baby back ribs, I have to draw the line. And boy, are those ribs fatty!
3. Butterflies, Butterflies, Butterflies. I am the first to admit that animals and fashion can be joined beautifully. Think of Alexander McQueen’s hauntingly beautiful F/W 06 collection, the models looked like part Scottish beauties, part owl-like creatures. It was fine when she named her CD ‘Butterfly”. I didn’t say anything when she opted for a butterfly tattoo on her back. But when she started sporting two, boulder-size, 3D, jewelled butterfly rings, I knew that Mimi had flown into wacko-land.
2. Twaddle in your Mini-dress! Mariah, haven’t you ever seen Fashion File? How about Fashion TV? You’re supposed to trot like an angry race horse, not twaddle like a penguin.
1. Jersey Dresses in every shade of the rainbow! No style diva could ever be without a throng of jersey dresses in shades like bubblegum pink, periwinkle blue and sometimes, YES, believe it or not, both at the same time! What, don’t tell me you don’t want to look like a box of Fruit Loops! Isn’t that why Mariah is so round?
