For Fall, have designers gone Clueless?

Tartan? Check. Black, patent leather shoes? Check. Shorter-than-short minis? Check.

When designing their fall collections, it looks like some designers were inspired by the ensembles sported by the So-Cal ladies of the classic movie Clueless. From red tartan at Alexander McQueen to minis all over the Versace runway, the fall shows were undeniably splatterred with the coolest styles from ‘95. And, while Cher Horowitz may be an unlikley fashion icon, it is quite possible she subconciously entered the minds of all these designers thinking about the 90’s - think Marc, Miucca, and Donatella.

So, here’s the ‘skinny’ if you want to be a ‘fat betty’ this fall; Pull out this good old VHS, highlight your ‘stems’ with a pair of bight red Mary Janes, and go mad for plaid. Don’t like it? Whatever.
