Giles Deacon sent out some of the most breathtaking, and some of the most hideous, creations down his S/S 2007 catwalk - sometimes, simulteaneously. Using stricty black and white, Giles played with fur, lace, metallics, studs, and leather with varying degrees of success. The best pieces, or rather, the most weareable, included a set of draped, grommetted leather dresses and satin, silvery white sheaths.

With a history so rich, there is really no excuse for these H &M-esque creations. As Phoebe Philo noted, some of the dresses were very cute, as were the sky-high shoes, but I contend that this was not worth all the hype. Think Topshop at Marc Jacobs’ prices. Plus, a big thumbs down for the awful make-up and overall styling.
