Ankle Boots: Battle #1

In a season that will eventually be defined by this short, sometimes problematic, bootie, I thought it would be appropriate to have a little face-off of ankle boot-wearers. In this round, we have Mary Kate Olsen, Lindsay Lohan, and Hilary Duff. To make things clear, this is solely a matter of ankle boot-wearing abilities, since we all know that when it comes to overall fashion sense, Ms. Olsen wins, hands down, for having at least an ounce of originality.

Now that things have been clarified, first up is Mary Kate sporting some low-cut, platform ankle boots with bare legs (Credit (all pics): The Fashion Spot). Note: Please, ignore the fact that this picture looks like a poster for underage smoking.

Next is Miss Hilary Duff, yes, the Duff of ‘Stuff by Duff’ fame *screams of insanity*. Here, she wears a pair of black, suede ankle boots with a grey sack dress at MTV studios.

Finally, we move to Miss Lohan, here at the Stuff Style Awards. Thankfully, I think she has moved on from the god-awful, cut-off leggings to a full, opaque tight. Once again, she has forgotten to wear her pants - but considering the fact that she was probably heavily intoxicated, 5/6 garments ain’t too shabby!
