One word - Unworldly. For S/S 2007, Alexander McQueen rose to the occasion like no other, literally. After this collection, there is no doubt that you will be seeing roses everywhere, in every colour, and in every incarnation – from patterns on hip-padded dresses to hair pieces and even to 3D accessories, these flowers were spotted from beginning to end.

The strong romanticism of the lace and flowers was contrasted against meanswear-inspired tailoring and a slightly strict, Victorian feeling. It felt like a natural next step after last season’s romantic highland escape.
All in all, it was McQueen doing McQueen - dramatic, awe-inspiring, and beautiful - all executed with a sense of effortlessness. Though getting your greedy little hands on one of these frothy creations will be a completely different story.
