There’s a difference between taking a meditated fashion risk and being an all-out victim. Frankly, Mischa Barton has definitely fallen into the latter category with this dud of an outfit, which she wore to the Fashion Group’s Night of Stars. Sporting a one-sleeved, bubble-hemmed dress from Bebe, cutoff black tights, patent leather tie-up shoes and a busy diamond necklace, it not only says, “I’m trying too hard”, but, “I’m trying too hard to hit on nearly every trend at once!”
Getting down to the ugly details, the cutoff tights are juvenile and I question the compatibility of the necklace with the shoes. It is just one big mess from head-to-toe. Okay, maybe from neck-to-toe, since the hair and makeup are impeccable.
Celeb Stylist Rachel Zoe said this look is “fabulous and edgy and gorgeous”, but all I see is a Worst Dressed List entry and a slew of cringe-worthy pictures to look back on 5 years from now.

I disagree. I adore mischa barton’s style and I adore this bubble style dress.
Thanks for adding me to your blog i have returned the favour.
FASHION VICTIM!
It looks like she’s wearing some sort of weird sheer sleeve-thing on one arm. What?
I like that Mischa Barton takes fashion risks but I don’t think she ever looks comfortable in her clothes. It’s more like she wears what she (or maybe Ms. Zoe?) thinks a funky 20-year-old would/should wear.
