Here are French Vogue editor Carine Roitfeld and tabloid fodder Lindsay Lohan sporting the same denim and PVC Dolce & Gabbana S/S 2007 dress. I like the shiny pleather bits and the bulbous shape (if not already overdone), but the thought of a denim dress for nightime reminds me of those awful, denim over-the-knee Chanel boots that Karl loves so much. A dark jean for dinner? Modern. A denim wrap dress for a vacation in Mexico? Ideal. A denim minidress for a night on the town? Fugly.
Frankly, I can’t blame Lindsay that much. I mean, the extent of her fashion experience involves taking direction from Rachel Zoe or selecting whatever outfit in her closet doesn’t reek of Jack Daniels. But Carine, our lovely Carine, why? I know this fits into your whole dark, tough chic vibe, but with so many other options, why this? I swear, If I didn’t love you this much, I wouldn’t forgive as easily.
As for you, Lindsay, I amend my previous statement of pity. Infact, I have no similar sympathy. I mean, you can’t even use intoxication as a scapegoat anymore.

it may be an unpopular opinion, however i love it on carine (and i just adore her), yet loathe it on lindsay. she makes everything look cheap.
again, maybe it’s just me.
