To match or not to match? For most of fashion history, this question would have been irrelevant and the accompanying thinking null. For years, women went to great extents to present an image of not only cohesiveness, but of premeditated consistency. Dying shoes, searching endlessly for that exact shade of maroon, rejecting entire outfits because of a hard-to-find shade - all part of a fashionable women’s dressing process. To match was a measure of care, and ultimately, fashion know-how.
But it seems that the art of matching is having a comeback. Check out Kate Moss wearing matching leopard shoes with her leopard dress or Blanchett opting for like-coloured footwear to match her silver suit. Two year sago, you likely would have sniffed at such a union, in a “I know better than to commit such a faux-pas!” manner. Frankly, I welcome the trend of being a little matchy. The old adage that “You don’t want to look like you’ve tried too hard!” is completely ridiculous. Frankly, it took you 5 hours to coordinate the outfit and we all know it. That said, we haven’t yet done the matching bag.

i dont know, i still like the mismatching trend. It was way too stressful trying too match all my clothes and accessories together bcak in the day!!!
