Now this is a match made in fashion heaven. Yes, Sui has designed a line of pieces that will be sold at Victoria’s Secret stores nationwide by the end of ’06. Frankly, who better to design lingerie than the kitshiest of all kitschy designers – Anna Sui? Her use of bold prints and colours, her attraction to all things frilly and tiered, and her theme-driven shows scream “Victoria Secret!” anyways.
And frankly, while I appreciated the slighty avant-garde deviation this season, complete with ads featuring a facially-caged Erin Wasson – a la Viktor & Rolf – I want my Victoria Secret girls to be sex kittens, not S & M leaders, thank you.
