The Nominees…Christopher Kane, Meryl Streep in The Devil Wears Prada, Viktor & Rolf for H & MFirst up is new London designer Christopher Kane. Neon. Short. Tacky. Next, please.
Next is Meryl Streep in The Devil Wears Prada. Cute movie about the insider fashion world? Yes. But the highly formulated portrayal of Miranda Priestly is hardly anything to gawk over - let alone dish out a metallic statue.
Finally, Viktor & Rolf for H & M. That one trench aside, another boring collaboration of mediocre suits and pretty, albeit uninspired, dresses. And I’m all for romanticism, but couldn’t there be anything more original than hearts?

i definitely agree about christopher kane and v&r.
i think i’m going to have to disagree about christopher kane. when i first saw his collection i thought, “blechh” (approximately). but now i really like him– what with rave running rampant, and short being everything, his clothes definitely strike a chord.
Agree about V&R!
Finally someone who also thinks its overrated!… Im not saying I didnt like their collection, I LOVED IT!… but there was just too much fuss about the whole thing!… like you said, we’ve seen alot of romantic suits & dresses before
WOW, you read my mind about Christopher Kane. . . The emperor has no clothes, people, open your eyes! I’m glad to find someone who agrees with me.
PS: This is the third time today someone has mentioned rave coming back in style. This is a little scary.
C’mon, selling a wedding dress in a store like H&M is quite brilliant, even if you didn’t like the media offensive.
Hahahaha…selling a wedding dress in a store like H&M ?!!, please there is nothing more out of fashion than a wedding dress that actually looks like a wedding dress !.When I saw Gwen Stefani in her latest video inspiration of ‘The Sound of the Music’ I suddenly realised that the dress she was wearing was that ever so unimaginative gold stars petticoat dress from V&R’s last collection. It looked just like a cheap replica produced for a Hollywood musical….but it wasn’t a replica !!!..it was the real thing!……yes indeed more overrated than selling cider in Champagne bottles !
