Here are the new S/S 2007 Gucci ads shot by Mario Testino. In terms of ad campaigns, Raquel Z and Agyness seem to be doing well, although I must say that Freja looks to be the Titanic of the bunch. From haunting angel at Balmain to robotic princess at Chanel and now luxe hippie at Gucci, she’s made the transformations seem quite effortless. Then again, being paid to lounge around in some of the world’s most expensive designers duds amongst some of the world’s most beautiful people couldn’t be too hard. Don’t believe the Tyra propaganda.
On a side note, big props to Frida for opting to showcase some of the best shoes of the season and, more importantly, for owning a distinct voice; amongst all the modern grey backgrounds and hints at futurism, there is something to be said about saying something different. Besides, pomegranate is the new cranberry anyway.
