Is it just me or is Dolce & Gabbana like Barbie? I mean, it seems that at the onset of every collection, a cliched childhood occupation is arbitrarily chosen and then driven to repugnant extremes, accentuated with stereotypical accessories? For Fall/Winter 2007/2008, the theme was astronaut, which they’ve “reinterpreted” with the trite homosexual spin they do so well.
The only salvageable items were the bronze metallic suits and interestingly cut knits, but even that would be stretch. Then again, unlike their trash-tackular Canadian cousins – the Caten brothers – Stefano & Domenico actually succeed in nailing down a trend or two.
