This is perfection marred. The obvious choice of the stylized leggings could be grounds for automatic disaster, but Elbaz’s Parisian chic apparel more than rescued the pre-fall collection.
Continuing from where Marc Jacobs left off in NY, Elbaz showed a very 20s/30s inspired collection, mixing the long, lean silhouette of the Flapper era with the classicism and draping of the following decade. It was unhindered glamour and romance, from the eye-grazing hats to the long-tailed satin dresses, gloves, and pleating, pin tucking, and draping.
Pathetic leggings and all - this, my friends, is true Parisian glamour.
