Philip Sparks Men’s Fall/Winter 2007

Photos coming soon…
With a history as a Costume and Set Designer at the Stratford festival, it’s no surprise Philip Spark’s debut collection exhibited much of the rigor demanded of the festival’s performers. The edited 12-look collection, consisting of dark military-inspired jackets, slim trousers, and a standout gold metallic bomber at the finale, was a commendable first showing.
The other highlights of the collection included a grey, woven cable knit trench coat, the double-breasted blazers with slim, curved lapels and double pocket detailing, and the array of jackets featuring buttoned vents and pleating at the back, suggesting 19th century coat tails. As the models sauntered robotically down the Boutique Le Trou catwalk, there was a sense that maybe some of the inherent drama was lost in the exhibition.
That aside, for men looking for modern, well-tailored classics marked by a Canadian spirit, input Sparks onto your radar.
