It’s sad to say, but the Pete fascination reeks of yesterday’s dinner. While his lady friends (Kate & Irina) have emerged - or, in Kate’s case, reemerged - as solidified style icons, his star seems to be clouded by discussion of drug use rather than fashion know-how. Le piece de resistance? The signature Porkpie hat, which might as well have “2006″ splashed across the front in rainbow lame.
Reflecting upon my contentions, I cant help but be reminded of the Edie Sedgwick story and this “use-and-dispose” hand the two have seemingly been dealt. It makes me wonder, do we add fuel to the flames? Or are these fires ones that needed to burn?
