I once belived the fatuous notion that colour blocking meant looking like a Crayola-coloured mess. Not true - and this Mondrian-esque shirt from ShopBop (www.shopbop.com) is proof. Besides, if you are going to do colour, why not do it a la YSL and opt for Mondrian? Pair it with a full skirt which you should wear uber-high on the waist and an oversized menswear blazer (you may have to scrounge thrift shops…) For shoes, a suede T-strap flat completes the retro prep look (www.ninewest.com) and makes this transitional season slightly more palatable.

Hi. Your blog is great ! Are you interesting in a link exchange with my blog ?

Cute ideas. I like that color block top a lot actually…and it definitely doesn’t look like my style. Hm.
First of all, love the individual pieces, as i usually do with your “What to Wear Now” posts. At work i always suggest a smaller size in the full skirts so that they can hike ‘em up on the waist so i love that you agree with that! the androgeny of a menswear blazer is divine, although i’m not sure about the silhouette it would create with the full skirt. would probably do a slimmer silhouette for the oversized blazer. ageless footwear, immaculate. great post.
