Yesterday, Tommy Hilfiger appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show to dispel the rumor that Hilfigers doesn” want to sell his clothes to African-Americans, Jews, and Hispanics. The supposed statement from Hilfiger was, “”If I had known that African-Americans, Hispanics and Asians would buy my clothes, I would not have made them so nice.” This is the power of viral, my friends. We hear so much about blogs, YouTube, forums, etc and their commercial possibilities, but we often ignore the counter side of this instant transmission.
Luella Bartley has announced that her Spring 2008 show will take place at London Fashion Week. Good things are happening in London. It’s an exciting time.
Speaking of - Kate Moss for Topshop has sold out in London. No surprise here. And frankly, to all you Londoners, don’t be surprised when you see the same dress on xxx number of other girls (and maybe guys) on the streets. The Democratization of Moss is marvelous, no?

“If I had known that African-Americans, Hispanics and Asians would buy my clothes, I would not have made them so nice.”
And that is smart because?!
and guys…haha. good point!!
Have you even been to TopShop?
How can you comment on something you know nothing about and live so far away from?
Topshop sell mass produce clothes, that is what they do.
The collection “sold out” because many stores had limited stock especially of the most popular items.
The chances of bumping into anyone wearing Topshop is always high. Maybe if you lived in the UK, shopped in Topshop or knew what you were talking about this topic would be relevant.
the kate moss collection is unarguably the most discernible topshop collaboration in the chain’s recent history. a dress from this collection will be xxx times more recognizable than the average Topshop flower print dress.
perhaps you’ve failed to consider that.
Hey yall, I saw the Oprah show with Hilfiger..the rumor is def not true. They said it started at some college campus. Anyway, I’m glad b/c I just got a pair of tommy shoes I luv. (just thought I’d share :-p ) -Kel.
