What to Wear Now: By the Pool


Having raphaelite skin, the sun/outdoors have never been friends of mine. That said, some have told me that outdoor activities, such as lounging at the pool, are very popular activities - I didn’t ask why - and so, I thought I would do a What to Wear Now: By the Pool. The bikini makes me yawn. Marilyn-style one pieces and high-waisted retro 2 pieces make me smile (www.urbanoutfitters.com). Wear a big hat - you can also do a turban, but I still have a “fashion victim” stigma with that - and big glasses to protect your eyes (www.topshop.com). A clear plastic tote makes everything easy to find and retro-looking sandals (www.zappos.com) complete the look. I’ll end before offering the rather hackneyed - albeit incessantly ignored - “But the most important accessory of all is SPF…”
