Transforming Birt-girl Keira Knightley into farm-ridden Sicilian nymph is a remarkable feat (Balencaiaga Prefall may have helped). But juicing anything new out of the overexposed Knightley will be a sheer miracle. Keira was the star of the Dec 2005 cover, the May 2006 cover, and now the June 2007 cover.

I do have problems with US Vogue’s use of celebrities as their cover people, but I like Keira so I’m fine with this.But 3 covers in a short span of time?
I would love to see at least 5 or 6 model covers per year, it’s better than none at all.Give Suvi Koponen her first cover or something ,take notes from Paris Vogue and use up and coming models instead of old standbys and tired stars that offer nothing more than what you could get from Us Weekly.
