Six Question with Daniel Pilaprat, Model

Meet Daniel Pilaprat (www.myspace.com/lessaboteurs), a 21-year-old Toronto-based model you might be seeing more of. And yes, he has an identical twin brother (Nicholas), in case you wanted to know. 
1. What agencies are you signed with?
NAM (www.nammodels.com/)) (Toronto), MGM (Paris), Why Not (Milan), ICM (London), V Models (New York City). 
2. What catwalks have you walked? 
I’ve walked for J. Lindeberg in Milan and Yohji Yamamoto in Paris. In Toronto, I’ve walked for Bustle and Krane. 
3. Your magazine work?  
L’Uomo Vogue, American Vogue, V Magazine, Dazed and Confused, i-D., Max Magazine, and Madame Figaro . 
4.  Favourite fashion moment? 
Meeting Hedi Slimane because he is my favourite menswear designer and I’ve always looked up to him.  I met him at the Christian Dior casting in Paris.   
5. Funny modelling-related stories?  
It was at a Vogue photo shoot in NYC.  Mario Testino was the photographer and Zac Posen and Daria Werbowy were in the shoot.  I had no idea who they were.  This was my first job ever and I was completely ignorant to the modelling world elite, if you will.  In hindsight, that’s a pretty damn good start.   
6. What would you say in regards to the stereotype that models aren’t intelligent?
Most models aren’t just models.  They have other stuff going for them.  There are hardly any “Derek Zoolanders” in the modelling world.
