It’s ironic that as I neared the end of the doc ‘Yves Saint Laurent: His Life and Times (2002)’, I come online to see Mr. Costa has paid homage to the great couturier for Fall 2008: smokings with the signature articulated shoulder, sheer blouses, the supple fabrics even the T-bar heels. There’s this feeling that he’s contemplated the finest details. Yves would be proud.

I’m quite torn over this collection: on the one hand I agree with what you say, I can admire the collection in that aspect, but it also feels lifeless to me.
