Sarah Jessica Parker: in a Balmain cocktail dress, and Balenciaga pumps. Carrie Bradshaw once said “When men attempt bold gestures, generally it’s considered romantic. When women do it, it’s often considered desperate or psycho.” I consider mutating Balmain for red carpet purposes to be a very bold gesture. The off the shoulder modification adds a certain amount of saucy effort that isn’t desirable- Psycho. The salt is for the poor dress. Please refer to Anja’s runway arrangement for the appropriate representation.
Nicole Kidman: in Dries Van Noten and Pierre Hardy Pumps. Again, this dress has been severely distorted from the original artist’s vision. Easy, “accessible” and “Pragmatic” are all things that describe the Dries woman. Body-conscious with a clichéd silhouette is quite the contrary. The age of the (overpaid) stylist is a sad one.
Miley Cyrus: in Marchesa. A number of issues are preventing Miley from being the light, airless princess Marchesa designs for… one being her thighs.

my you’ve become a tad prickly. so much so in fact that i’ve come to defend miley cyrus of all things.
her thighs are fine.
I totally disagree with your comment about Miley Cyrus’ thighs. She’s not even out of her teens-! Besides, the problem with her look seems to have everything to do with the dress itself- not her body.
Echoing the above commenters: Miley Cyrus’s problems don’t include her thighs! This “airless princess” wouldn’t look much better in this dress, and her legs would definitely be worse.
i would never ever have known that this was a dries van noten on nicole. she really screwed up the whole beautiful art of dries by sucking the air and life out of it. what a waste.
I stand by my viewpoint. I merely am trying to convey the point that the dress isn’t age appropriate and does nothing for Miss Cyrus. The name of this blog is called FashionVebatim.net. I choose to be frank, but I am also fair. I provide insight and facts and if I do happen to make a comment that is “snarky.” I hope I haven’t offended anyone. The point I was trying to convey was that its the right dress but WRONG girl.
are you saying miley’s thighs shouldn’t be so revealed or that they’re too fat?
Miley seems like such a down to earth kid. I guess if you’re
the daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus, it keeps you pretty real. Cute girl! JC – fashionpassion.net
