On the premiere of “The Fashion Show” last night (dreadful, but I had to), one of the yet-to-be-distinguishable contestants mentioned working with sun- and heat-sensitive fabrics, which, I thought to myself, could be splendid in the hands of the right designer. It can’t be long before we see this concept on the runways, now that the Solar issue of Visionaire is out (can’t you see Alex Wang doing hypercolor jersey minidresses?). The black and white photographs in the magazine blush with rainbow colors when placed in direct sunlight, a testament to innovative print technology. Reminds me of the 1939 Wizard Of Oz movie.
