Karolina Kurkova is going to be playing Cover Girl in the upcoming G.I. Joe movie. The news was out quite some time ago, but no one seems to be mentioning it anymore in the fashion world (kind of like Kurkova’s current career status….okay, sorry; I had to!).
Replace the undershirt with a lacy-edged, molded space-age foam push-up bra of some sort, and the GI Joe outfit (Above Left) could pass for a snap from the Victoria’s Secret fall/winter catalog! By costume and facial expression alone, I’d be more scared to mess with 10 Magazine Karolina (Above Right) than GI Karolina…
I suppose we shall see in the fall, when the movie comes out, whether she A) gets to and B) can successfully deliver a line. I see no reason why a model can’t break into acting but as far as top names go, attempts have usually been either not notable or notably poor.
I’m always up for seeing models on the big screen, but I can’t say the choice of Ms. Kurkova excites me…what’s your opinion?
