The Giles Deacon Fall/Winter 2010 show was opened by former Victoria’s Secret model Karolina Kurkova and featured current Angels Rosie Huntington-Whitely and Alessandra Ambrosio and two more former Angels, Carmen Kass and Jessica Stam. It marked another fall/winter 2010 show which wanted a more womanly model, instead of the size 0 to 2 shape we see every season. But what about the clothes? It’s all well and fine to put curvier models on the runway but if the clothes are snooze-worthy it all doesn’t matter.
What we loved:
The fuller skirts, the bustier dresses, scalloped detail on the hems
What we hated:
The dull beige and brown colours, the accentuating patches on the jackets, the shiny puffed jackets and square neckline.
Overall verdict, it wasn’t our favorite so far. No wonder all the buzz was about the current and former Victoria’s Secret Angels on the runway.
