Supermodel Naomi Campbell isn’t afraid of self promotion, so it came as no surprise that when Vogue Russia put the English model in charge of the magazine for their April 2010 issue, the entire issue is dedicated to her! Campbell features herself in editorial’s shot by Steven Meisel, Solve Sundsbo, and Mario Testino, but it wasn’t an entirely selfish endeavor with fellow supermodels Claudia Schiffer and Chanel Iman also featuring.
“I wanted to debunk a few myths surrounding Naomi,” said Vogue Russia’s Editor in Chief, Aliona Doletskaya. “When I suggested the concept, she immediately came and for an hour and a half laid out stories, photography, interviews and other sections. Clearly, quickly and in a businesslike manner.”
It should also be noted that the cover features a birthday cake because Campbell will celebrate her 40th birthday on May 22d. What do you think of the cover? I hate the pink wig, which pretty much says it all.
