The Manipulated Waist
The waist will continue to be the It-zone, but focus will be polar. Either up high (70’s high-waisted jeans, rib-grazing skirts) or down low (1920’s drop waist). It will be accentuated by thin belts, ribbon, and statement seaming.
The New Harem
While not as literal as Eden’s version, pants will be pleated, voluminous, and tapered near the ankle. Perfect for showing off this season’s stripper-inspired footwear.
The Colour Yellow
Hey, Oprah would be proud - yellow is purple’s complementary colour. From shades of burnt ocre at Chloe to lemon meringue at Jil Sander, yellow is the colour to buy now. Personally, I find it an interestingly jolly colour offering from such a heavily medicated and troubled group of people.
Shining Bright
From metallics to vinyl to Lucite and more - if it shines, throw it on! This is so much of a no-brainer trend forecasting that I won’t even take credit - it’s the equivalent of predicting a multi-car train wreck for Britney’s career.
Geometric Prints
Linear. Bold. Uniquely coloured. It’s not paisley.

Too funny. I just predicted yellow as an it color on my blog! Thats it…its official.
I agree with you, I just hope that by the end of 2007 I still don’t care to wear yellow and I still do care to wear paisley.
Good post!
