When it comes to Karl Lagerfeld, you almost get the sense that the resort explosion was bespoken for him. With each of his three main collections often a pastiche of ideas, 70 looks seem virtually numbing to his creativity. So it's quite surprising that his 2008 resort collection for Fendi was low on new concepts - albeit high on hemlines.
