  Believe it or not, Fall 2008 L’Oreal Fashion Week can be succinctly described as "slick”. Or at the very least, “slick”-er. For starters, the massive 30,000 square foot tents, borrowed from the week’s New York counterpart, were streamlined and aired out; the interior panorama booths and rope stands reorganized to funnel the increasingly larger, and international crowd straight to the main event.   (click to enlarge)In a season dominated by various shades of grey - think garcoal to ash to dove gray - some famous faces are choosing to make more definitive statements with their clothes. Whether it is a braided trim on Lindsay Lohan's dress or a contrasting necklace sported by Teri Agins, black and white definitely says more than grey. It is time-transcending, statement-making, classy, sharp... yadda, yadda, yadda. My only concern?   Now that L'Oeal Fashion Week has come to an end, I thought it would be appropriate to do a 'Best Collection' List...#5. Juma Right on-trend with the sport vibe. Loved the high-waisted everything. #4. Dean Horn The double-layered dresses and racerback tanks were great. Lime green is key.#3. Jennifer CoacIf minimalism is your thing, this was the collection for you. Lots of see through fabrics, shine, and simple shapes. #2. David Dixon Retro and loose.
