Lindsay Loahn for Jill Stuart Ads


Here is the first picture from Women’s Wear Daily of Lindsay Lohan in the new Jill Stuart ads. Of the actress, Stuart said, “she is sexy and smart, exactly what the Jill Stuart woman embodies.” I suppose tasteless and media-whore didn’t continue the alliteration?

Joking aside, I have to admit these are the best of her “modelling” career (Dooney & Burke, Miu Miu). The ad shows a sequin-wearing Lilo grasping the Emelle tote in black patent leather and was shot in Tokyo by Mario Sorrenti. Chanel execs should take notice - black and white makes the faux tan barely discernible.

Poor version of Dior meets Longchamp sort-of-meets Kate for Vuitton ads. But better than her recent work. And not too Photoshoped, too.

I do like this ad campaign. And yes, she’s sexy if sexy is a prematurely ageing, badly fake-tanned twig and smart if you mean coked-up alcoholic.
