The design duo behind Proenza Schouler, yes, the duo at the centre of Miss Anna’s heart, has been creating quite the fashion foundation in the past little while. Their past few collections, when not faltering into Oscar De La Renta territory, made a strong case for American fashion and unarguably defined some of fashion’s recent obsessions– sculpted, bra-like tops? The 60’s? Leggings with everything?

A refreshing change from season pasts, except for a few deviations into Teen Vogue territory. Dresses, coats and pants were short and graphic, while skirts were sent down high on the models’ waists –a final blow to the low-rise trend?
The entire collection was decidedly young and while, at times, it felt as if Miuccia had waved her magical wand somewhere backstage, the un-spring colours (black, grey, olive) and refreshing prints saved us from yet another mundane, whited-out Chloé rehash.
