Let’s face it, Ralph Lauren is an American Institution. However, this sometimes can be interpreted as repetitive, mundane, or at worst, obsolete. This season, he sent down the usual army of white and black, but he livened it up with a throng of metallic pieces and an overall Great Gatsby-1920’s-Menswear-meets-American-Sportswear feel…Based on this and Marc Jacobs, primarily, I think we will be hearing the word “flapper” quite a bit next spring/summer….
