I dislike these new Stella ads not so much for their overambitious stab at feeling “youthful and creative”, but for glamorizing a partying Amber Valetta wearing no shoes.
This is one of my pet peeves. If you are going to wear heels, wear the heels. If they hurt, don’t wear them, or simply sit down. We publicly decry Britney for going bare-footed in a public restroom and we shake our heads in disgust at pictures of Sienna ambling around barefoot in London. And yet, we think it’s okay for girls to go to parties and go sans footwear on the unintentionally adhesive, shard-ridden floors.
This is not just uncreative. This, my friends, is socially irresponsible.

I think it’s MORE disgusting to dance on the couch/bed/inside the house WITH shoes that you wear OUTside….That’s how most of the bacteria you find in the floor get there in the first place. Gosh.
